The European shows are going
ahead!!
Thriving in the face of adversity and despite a conflict that has ravaged their
country for several weeks, extreme metallers OATH TO VANQUISH are now set
to proceed to travel out of Lebanon and play shows around Europe next week.
The band have been confirmed to take part in the Images of the Middle East
Festival (IOME) taking place in Denmark , but at one point, as the
situation in their home country deteriorated, the whole trek looked doomed.
Commented guitarist/vocalist Elias van Quish: "Some truly terrible things
have happened here, which I can't bring myself to get into now. However, I do
wish to express my utmost respect and gratitude to the people of the IOME
whom have shown such faith and dedication in making these shows happen, even
when the world was falling apart around us! Now, we're looking forward to
pounding those Danish audiences into deathmetal pulp!!"
Additional shows in Germany and Sweden have now been added to the band's
European trek, full list of dates:
Aug. 30 - Copenhagen, DEN @ Ungdomshuset (w/STALK OF DEATH)
Aug. 31 - Roskilde, DEN @ Gimle (w/SYGDOM)
Sep. 01 - Odense, DEN @ Badstuen (w/NAYLED, CODEX)
Sep. 02 - Eisleben, GER @ Wiesenhaus (w/MY INSANITY, MATARA)
Sep. 07 - Malmö, SWE @ The Watt (w/ARSONIST, BODY CORE)
The IOME, organized by the Danish Centre for Culture and Development
(DCCD) focuses on contemporary culture and aims to bring to light the
cultural changes which are taking place in the Middle East. Commented the
DCCD: "...DCCD and the partners still wish to continue the last
preparations for the festival, it is because we feel that the festival is even
more important now than ever."
In related news, the Freemuse organization has posted two short video
interviews with the band, where they discuss censorship around their scene, as
well as their music. View or download them at

OATH TO VANQUISH's debut album "Applied Schizophrenic Science" was
mixed and mastered by Colin Davis (VILE) and was released via
Grindethic Records this month.
